TV mounting that goes into the framing, not just the drywall

Tell us the wall and the size of your television. We find the framing behind the drywall, bolt the bracket into it, set the screen level, and tidy the cords after. There is no charge for the quote we send from your photos.

Televisions on the wall

We put your TV on the wall and tidy the cords

A screen on the wall frees up the stand it was sitting on and puts the picture at the height you watch from. What keeps it up there is not the bracket you bought. It is what that bracket is bolted into.

If a previous mount left anchor holes behind, put that in your text too. Patching them is drywall repair, we do that as well, and it goes on the same quote.

What actually holds it up

The framing carries the weight, not the drywall

Drywall on its own will not hold a television. Behind it are wood studs, and that framing is the only thing on a normal interior wall strong enough to carry a screen. So we find the studs first, mark them, and drive the wall plate bolts into solid wood. That is what keeps a mount up instead of pulling loose.

Step 1

Find the framing, set the height

We read the wall for studs and mark where the bracket can land. Then we measure up from the floor so the picture sits where you watch from, and you approve that height first.

Step 2

Bolt the bracket into solid wood

The wall plate gets drilled and lag bolted through the drywall into the studs behind it. We level the plate and pull hard on it before your television comes anywhere near.

Step 3

Hang it, level it, tidy the cords

The set lifts onto the bracket and locks in. A level goes across the top and we adjust until it reads true, then the cords get tidied and we clean up.

We put one price on the whole mount

There is no flat rate. A small screen on an open wall is not the same job as a heavy one where the studs fall in awkward places. Send a picture and the size and we send back one number, free.

The five things that move the price

  • 1How big the television is, and how much it weighs
  • 2The wall itself, and where the framing falls
  • 3The bracket: one you own, or one we pick up
  • 4Tidying the cords once the screen is hanging
  • 5How many screens are going up
Straight talk

Some walls will not carry a television

Most will, and we get on with it. Now and then the spot someone picked cannot take the weight safely, or the studs sit nowhere near where the bracket has to land. You hear that from us before a single hole goes in the wall, and we help you find a spot that will hold it.

Send us everything else at the same time

Old anchor holes to patch, a bookcase still flat in its box, a shelf that never went up. Send those with the wall and it comes back on one price.

Do I need to buy the mount first?

No. If you already have a mount we will use it. If you do not, tell us the size of the TV and we pick one up that fits. Either way the mount is on the quote, so you know the cost before you book.

Can you mount a TV on my wall?

Almost always yes. Most interior walls have wood framing behind the drywall, and that framing carries the weight. Send a photo of the wall and we will tell you what we see. If a spot will not hold a television safely, we say so before any holes go in.

Will the TV be level and secure?

Yes. The bracket is bolted into the framing rather than held by drywall anchors, and we put a level on the TV once it is hanging and adjust until it reads true. Nothing is left loose for you to tighten after we go.

How much does TV mounting cost?

TV mounting is priced by the job, not by the hour, so one number covers the whole thing. The price follows the size of the TV, the wall, and whether you already have a mount. Text a photo and the size and we send the exact price back free, before you book.

Can you mount more than one TV?

Yes. Send a photo of each wall and the size of each television, and we price them together as one job. If there is other work waiting around the house, put it in the same message and it goes on the same quote.

How high should the TV go on the wall?

Sit where you will be watching from and look straight ahead. That is roughly where the middle of the screen should be. We measure it off the floor with you before anything gets marked, so the height is your call.

Which cities do you cover for TV mounting?

Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee, Lake Elsinore, Wildomar, Winchester, and French Valley. There is no travel charge inside the service area.
