We handle fence and gate repair: posts reset, boards replaced, gates rehung
A post starting to lean, boards split or popped loose, a gate that drags and will not catch the latch. We put it back to straight. A couple of pictures is enough for us to price it, free of charge.

A wood fence out here takes the weather hard. Summers dry the boards out, and when the Santa Anas blow they push on a whole run at once. Posts shift, boards work loose, and a gate that used to close on its own no longer lines up with the latch.
All of that is fence repair, gates included. We reset the post that moved, put new boards where the old ones split, and rehang the gate on hardware that can carry it, so it swings clear and latches.
The boards get the blame, but the post is usually the problem. A fence leans because a post has shifted or gone soft at the base, and the panels fastened to it follow it over. We put the post right first, and the run lines back up behind it.

Three steps put a fence back on its line
The same run of work covers one bad post or a gate that will not latch.

Walk the fence and set the post right
We go down the line and find which posts moved and which boards are still good. The post behind the lean comes back to plumb and gets set to stay.

Put new boards where the old ones split
Broken and popped boards come off and new ones go on, screwed into the rails. We match the size of what is already up so the run reads as one fence.

Hang the gate level and set the latch
The gate goes back on hinges that can carry the weight, hung level so it clears the ground and the latch lines up. We swing it and check it before we pack up.
What a fence and gate repair comes to
One bad post and a run that needs half its boards are not the same job, so there is no flat rate. Text photos and we send back one number, free.
The five things that move the price
- 1How many posts and boards have to be replaced
- 2The gate, whether it needs rehanging or new hardware
- 3The shape the wood is in along the rest of the run
- 4Concrete at the posts, which changes how one comes out
- 5Stain or seal after, if you want the new wood sealed
A post rotted at the ground line cannot be patched
Wood that has gone soft where it meets the dirt has nothing left to hold a screw, and bracing it only pushes the lean further down the run. When we find one we say so, and price a post set properly in its place instead. It costs more than a board, and it is the version still standing next winter.

Send the indoor jobs with the fence photos
If the fence is not the only thing on your list, say so when you text. It all gets priced together as one number.
Questions we get about fences and gates
These cover leaning posts, board replacement, and gates that will not latch. A different fence question, text it over and we will answer it.

Text the photos overMy fence is leaning, does the whole thing have to come out?
Usually not. A lean almost always traces back to one or two posts that have moved, and the panels follow them over. We reset the posts that shifted and the panels straighten with them. Send photos down the line and we will tell you which it is.
My gate drags and will not latch. Can you fix it?
Yes. A dragging gate is the hinges giving out, the post it hangs on leaning, or the gate sagging out of square. We rehang the gate square on fresh hinges and reset the latch to meet it.
Do you replace single fence boards?
Yes. We pull the damaged boards and screw new ones to the rails, matched to the width and height of the boards around them, so the new wood does not stand out from the rest.
Do you set the posts in concrete?
Where the post calls for it, yes. A post carrying a gate or sitting at the end of a run gets set in concrete so it stays put. The plan comes with the price.
How much does fence and gate repair cost?
Fence and gate repair is priced by the job, not by the hour, so one number covers the whole repair. The price follows how many posts and boards need doing, the shape of the wood, and whether the gate needs rehanging. Text over photos and we send the exact price back free, before you book.
Can you do the fence, the gate, and the rest of my list?
Yes. Send photos of the fence, the gate, and anything else waiting around the house, and it all gets priced together as one job. One number comes back before anything is booked.
Which cities do you cover for fence and gate repair?
Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee, Lake Elsinore, Wildomar, Winchester, and French Valley. There is no travel charge inside the service area.
Need a leaning fence or a sagging gate fixed in the Temecula Valley?
Send photos down the fence line and of the gate, and we put one free price on the repair. The work waits until you have said yes to the number.
